Fire fire Dave

By: Tom | June 20th, 2007

The Fire have fired coach Dave Sarachan. More details on Luis’ blog. Looks like the website I linked to yesterday is redundant already.

It was an an unavoidable decision given fan pressure and recent results. Post your wild speculation/hopes on who should take over below.

More on this later.

I didn’t realize we Fire fans had such swarthy senses of humor. It must be desperation.

Personally, I think we should get that guy at Vancouver.

All joking aside folks this is a terrible move by Guppy; now it is John himself who will be on the hot seat.

    Here’s what should have happened:

At half time of next fixture, the entire staff marched to midfield at Toyota Park, the fire flamed should be turned on on full boar and then on the the jumbo-tron Donald Trump himself should come on the screen and yell “Your Fired”.

The problem, as I have argued before is not Sarachan himself but the staff as a whole. Uninteresting uninterested and UNABLE to motivate players who should be excited to be getting an opportunity to prove themselves on a club where positions are so obviously wide open.

No one stepped up and no one on the staff lead the way.

See you in Section 8 in 2008.
