Fire fans show up in Toronto, Fire team does not

By: Tom | May 12th, 2007

If you go over 500 miles to watch your team and they play like they left their brains in Chicago, it’s more than mildly annoying. I don’t have the energy to recap the game right now, nor even the heart. All credit to Toronto for their first goals and win, and to my fellow Fire fans for staying loud despite the piss-poor effort from our team.

Back later with pics and more depressing thoughts.

I was really impressed by how loudly the Fire fans in the far corner from me belted out the Star Spangled Banner.

I only interacted with them in the crowd but they were a credit to the team. Hope you enjoyed your trip and that you’ll be back up in July.

Thanks Frank. I’m thinking of making it up again in July, though I doubt we’ll be able to bring nearly 200 up again. That was a massive feat of organisation by many people to get the buses and hostels for reasonable prices. Hope to see some TFC fans down in Chicago on July 7th though.
