Pulled pork at halftime?! Clearly you should do yourself 1 better and come on out to the Section 8 tailgate before matches---for this past match we served burgers, dogs, brats, and smoked pork in a delightful molassas/bourbon sauce. Oh, and the atomic pickles are always a hit! Come on down and join in, we'd be glad to see you--no need to pay for the food in the stadium if you don't have too!

Ok, I think I get the knock on Car. He sounds just like a player we had in Dallas for a couple of seasons (Ramon Nunez). Tons of talent, but does not have the soccer brains to put it all together. In the case of Nunez, he also had the added flaw of thinking he was the second coming of Maradona or Ronaldniho and he let everyone know it. I think he is playing in Honduras now.

Skeeter, I love watching Blanco. His assist last night was a surgical pass to Barret. I have never seen a striker, like Carr, who gets a ball 1v1 and dribbles AWAY from the goal! Or dribbles towards his teammate who has just made an overlapping run, thus eliminating the option of the overlapping run. Or all of last year, when the fire were winning, he was put in to press up top, win the ball and then keep position (i.e. dribble to the corner flag and kill time), however, he couldn't even do that. I don't know where to begin with all that I see is not striker material. Last night, he was put in the midfield, which I think is the wrong position for him. Later in the game, when Robinson came in, Carr was moved back up top. I don't know, a guy who has so much potential has lived up to it yet. Just my opinion (I guess that is why I am in the stands watching the game and not on the bench!)

Don't worry Fire fans, I'm sure you guys will collect 3 points next week when you come down here to Dallas. While I'm not looking forward to another 5-1 beat down (which I fully expect to receive), I can't wait to see Blanco in person. I will be wearing my Club America jersey so that I can cheer for Blanco as he carves up my cute little team (or cheer for Davino if he can hold the fort for 0-0 draw).
What is the knock on Car? I only see the Fire games when they are no nationally, but I have been impressed with him the few times I have seen him. What am I missing?

I was at the game last night, and was disappointed in the 2nd half performance. I thought DC came out strong from the opening of the second half. The first goal they scored was unfortunate Busch made a good save, yet the defenders were caught ball watching. I thought putting in Car (at anytime) was a mistake. Then to give up a goal, late in the game, with a man advantage, on a counter attack was unforgivable (truth be told, it was a beautiful goal, but should never have occured)
