Different Week, Same Result

By: irish_steve | May 12th, 2009

To be honest, I dont really want to write about the Fire vs Revs game. Quite frankly, I am getting sick of writing the same thing week in week out. So instead, I want to pose a question for all the Fire fans out there: What do we have to do to get a win? Your answers can be funny, serious or a bit of both!

My answer to the above question is simple: the Fire need some luck! Every bounce in our last 3 home games have gone the oppositions way and I cant blame our coach for our lack of scoring, we have played a very attacking 4-3-3 in recent weeks!

I look forward to hearing your answers.

Michael Jordan once said…”Luck is the residue of design.”

You have to put yourself in position to get that lucky bounce, pass and shot.

Right now our design is flawed.

3-5-2, a dash of luck (yes, as Jordan explains it), and play a team that has Chad Barrett up top—-ohhhh, I see what you did there……tricky b*st*rd.

    Shave. Win. Repeat.

Blanco has got to go. Period. Sure he wowed us, sold tickets and jerseys when he arrived but since, he has been on a steady decline. Chicago is no longer the mediocre team they were when Blanco came. Now, between his comments about leaving the fire and general lack of enthusiastic spark, Blanco is dragging the team behind. He is too slow and doesn’t get back to defend. He leaves huge wholes in the midfield to fill and should only be used as a sub….a really expensive sub.
The money used for Blanco could be used for the serious holding midfielder that Chicago needs!
