The Fire are in limbo
By: Tom | June 15th, 2007Whilst one good reason I haven’t been posting much this week is my obsession with my new pitchinvasion.net site, another is that the Fire seem to be going nowhere right now.
We’re waiting for Blanco to arrive (which has felt interminable)…We’re waiting for Sarachan to get fired…We’re waiting for Salas to sign (or probably not)…We’re waiting for Rolfe to return from injury (not soon)…We’re waiting for Mapp to return from U.S. duty…We’re waiting to see if the young players turn out to be good or not…We’re waiting for the team to, well, turn in a decent performance.
In sum, there’s a whole lot of waiting around and not a lot of action right now. But one way or another, this is only the calm before some kind of storm later this summer in Chicago, I suspect.

I’m not just being an asshole, but losing is an activity. I mean, something’s happening…just not a good something…
