well, you have to remember that Dallas was the HOME team...you'd almost have to expect them to come out strong in the 2nd half.
I'd have to say, my only real complaint about the game was the backline's (all 4 of them) endless attempts to "distribute" directly to the forward line.

I suppose that's OK...when you're on the road in the season opener, and you've pre-determined that you don't really care much about possession....but it just happened a little toooo much for my taste.

The midfield did do a remarkable job winning 2nd balls...but they laid back and waited until a little too deep to apply pressure to the ball when Dallas was in possession...again, imo.

Other than that...yes.
Fire Win.

Overall, a great way to start the season. The Fire finally get a win in Dallas. This will mentally give the Fire strength as they face D.C. United without the services of Segares and Baky. We have a deep team it will be testing sooner rather than later. The plus side is more players will be getting valuable playing time thus helping the team.

The only negative I saw from the game was the second half. I don't why but it seems more often than not the team comes out flat. It showed as Dallas had too much possession with the ball. I don't know if something needs to happen in the locker room to keep that hunger burning for the whole 90 minutes

I thought Pappa looked a little rough. Maybe just because it was his first start? I think it was his first.
